The story

TastyPlan is an ERP built for supply chain management: one web platform where inventory, suppliers, catalogs, and locations live together, and where picking orders and deliveries are scheduled instead of improvised.

Its inventory doesn’t depend on manual counts alone — TastyPlan can fetch stock levels straight from a POS (it pairs natively with Frosty, another DarkenTech product), so the numbers driving decisions are the numbers at the till. From there it generates customized replenishment orders for each customer, per location or warehouse, and sends them out as branded PDF purchase orders by email — automatically.

Under the hood, the platform follows a User → Organization → everything-else structure: locations, catalogs, suppliers, and warehouses all hang off an organization, so multiple users can run the same operation with their own accounts and roles.

We engineered TastyPlan in React on a NodeJS + PostgreSQL backend, deployed on Google Cloud, and later extended it with the TastyPlan Manager mobile companion for on-floor stock counts.
